“Green” Meeting in Alaska = Trees on Louisiana Wildlife Refuge

In the latest issue of Refuge Update from the National Wildlife Refuge System, read about a National Wildlife Refuge System conference in Alaska with an estimated footprint of nearly 30 tons of carbon dioxide. Conference planners purchased 2,500 trees to offset that carbon footprint, and The Conservation Fund’s Go Zero program will plant the trees next year at Red River National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana.
