I was looking at the Cabela's webiste today and came across this device called the Vortex. It is a central pole that attaches to two Robo Ducks and spins them around to look like they are landing. It seemed really interesting and I was wondering if anyone has ever used one or if they are a joke? I use one Robo Duck in my spread with good results. I would appreciate any information.
Some guys swear by them, others say it's just a big pain in the ***.
The one guy I know well who used it last fall said the birds were attracted to it, but nothing like the early days of the original robos. He sold his on Ebay and bought another robo.
I have one and used it last year. Was not impressed with it. But what I did is put 2 full body wind ducks on and they were to light. So this year I have put weight in them and got them spinning the right way will let you know later ho that turned out.
