What do you carry in that you could not do without?
My bag:
Shells: box of BB and a box of 2's
Chokes and wrench
Hand and toe warmers
(2) knit hats
Face mask
Face paint
(2) knives
Multitool
Calls/lanyard

Some paracord
Small fist aid kit

Freeze dried snacks
Thermos with coffee/ or cocoa if hunting with a kid
What is it that you have learned to bring or leave behind...speaking of behind I almost forgot the TP that's #1 or 2
My dog bites through his tongue when he gets tired and thirsty. The vet gave me some coagulant sponges that I can put on the puncture wound and it stops the bleeding. They work on other cuts too. Along with this, I keep a spray bottle of Vetricyn (sp?) to clean/disinfect wounds.
Something I always forget to bring is food.
Any recommendations on a thermos with an attached cup? There are a few to choose from, thermos and stanley look tops but can't decide.
I have been using the Stanley vacuum food jar for work/ hunting for over 5 years. It's great cause you can use it for coffee or use the bowl top for soup too. Keeps it hot or cold for a long while too. It is built to last.

I have two Stanley's. But, Stanley and Thermos are two different brands. I use my Dad's vacuum bottle from the 70s and still holds warmth. Once the glass cracks or breaks inside the bottle is done.
And make sure to temper the bottle. Pour in hot water from the sink, as hot as you can get it let it sit for a few minutes. Then pour the hot water out and your hot food or beverage in. Works it cold too with ice water. This will keep your stuff hotter or colder a bit longer.
You wouldn't need the Imodium if you skipped the convenient store breakfast food haha.

It's rare that I change out chokes during a hunt. I usually hunt the same water with similar set ups, so I tend to know what choke I'll be running. I mostly run my Carlson but I keep them in there just incase.
