thanks guys

i been using it for years never had anyissues with it breaking but it doesnt tangle as easy. just keep checkin it everyonce in awhile but i have never had any break. i have had the cords frozen to the ice and just pulld hard enough to break it loose from the ice its decent stuff. the braided stuff tangles way to easy imo.

how did you rig the line ? do you have the line crimped or did you guys just tie it straight to your decoys and weights ? it seems like the knot would easiy come undone if you were to just tie it on ? i was thinking about do all my divers in it (aswell becaUSE as you said it doesnt tangle easily like braid ) but it usually rough when i do that and i dont know if the knots will hold up to the waves ? what do you think ?

I use that line because its cheap, and Ive only had 2 failures in temps at -10 with alot of ice. I use a crimp and 2 inch tail at the weight end and a depth adjuster and 2 ft at the other hope this helps.

I have used it quite a bit and don't use it anymore. I have a lot of problems with it during freezing temps. It will either break putting it in the slot of the decoy keel, or if the anchor gets hung up and you pull on it to break it free it'll break. I've even had like 5 different lines to break in the same morning of picking up dekes. I would either use some kind of braided cord or go with the tarred line that will last forever.

Anybody use weed eater line?

I use the black decoy line but find that after a couple seasons they start to get weak and if you toss a deke with a little too much emphasis the lines can snap and your weight takes off never to be seen again, So I have a few pre-cut spare lines and weights in my boat kit.

I use the crimps. I think God must have invented those himself!

where do you all get the crimps to use on the GHG quick fix line? i had some 2.2mm crimps i used to make texas rigs with 400lb mono and i am finding these crimps are too small for the GHG quick fix line. i know i can get crimps from all sorts of places like cabelas, but they want like $5 for 25. and i got the 2.2mm crimps from SNL corp for making your own texas rig for around $4 per 100.

thanks
