yeah bout 4 1/2 miles from big basin........don't ever depend on 911......they don't help at all.
anyways yes it was my boat and to cut it short cuz i don't have time to talk.......
we were 150 yards out and it wasn't bad out ( been out in 10 times worse)
a wave hit us out of know where and that was it...filled the boat.....then another and we were goen down..
me and bro got my dad out to the shore in about 15 or so mins of swiming....couple of nice duck hunters made it to us right when we got to shore and helped us get my dad back to lauch to my truck..
he was very shaken up but was ok....
and i learned one thing i always tell my self to do but from now on I will do it.
WEAR THE LIFE JACKET!!!!!! its doesn't matter how shallow if i don't seem bad out cuz if you in the wrong place at the wrong time you scrwed.
well when i have some time i will post of the whole story with details.
AWAYS WEAR YOU LIFE JACKET!!!!!!! having it in the boat doesn't do ****
I always wear my life jacket while motoring but not when taking out dekes. I am sure I will start wearing it at all times while in the boat.
