just upgraded trailers, and wanna get bigger into this field mallard hunting as some of my most memorable hunts are goose hunt thats ended up producing more ducks. currently own 36 fullbody GHG FFD Honkers and 24 GHG fullbody mallards and 12 GHG Shells. Looking to beef up the spread with more decoys targeting duck specifically! How may is good for duck numbers in a late season field spread 50? 100? 150? 200? Shells? FB's? wind socks? silos?

I am by no means an expert on this but I have done best in field duck hunting with 10 dozen goose silo socks, 2 dozen full body duck, and 3 or 4 mojo's. This all depends on where you are though. See what the ducks in your area are going to. If they are feeding with the geese, go heavy on the goose decoys. If they are not then just go heavy with the duck decoys.

more spinners when field hunting is absolutely the right answer, you don't need much else. Most guys around here put out 5 dozen full body mallards to field hunt and 5-10 spinners.

My dad, who has a farm in eastern Kansas just take a bucket with a lucky duck in it. He puts the lucky duck out in the corn field by itself and sits on the bucket and consistently shoots limits of birds when there are birds in the area. You can't get much simpler than that. He has shot snow geese over that same single spinner field set up.
