Hey fellas my girlfriend made a suggestion and I told her id ask about it on here. She wanted to know if you could rig up a stand of some sort to put regular floating decoys on so you could use em in fields or in the waters edge? you could even paint em orange to look like the legs on mallards.
an easier way is to dig a little trench with your heal or a claw hammer and just set the keel down in the trench. One less thing to pack around that way.
cool! thats good to know. Not that I hunt ducks in fields here but I would like to put a few on the edge of the water or on sandbars occasionally. No adverse affects on how the birds decoy then? good to know. Thanks for the input guys!
