Just found out my hunting buddy has to make an unexpected trip out of town this weekend and was going to see if anyone would like to meet up for a hunt on Sat morning? I have a 14ft duck boat and am planning on taking that out, and have room for another hunter if anyone is interested? I believe I am going to go out to Cheney Lake since I am in Wichita, but would be willing to look at other options. Let me know if anyone is interested! Thanks

Thanks guys, I actually talked my father into going. He doesn't hunt, but has always wanted to see for himself what all this talk about ducks is! He is pretty excited about going and just maybe I could get him started on it. Knowing my luck he will bring his fishing pole when I am trying to hunt in the boat! :salude: I think we locals should just plan a big get together sometime and or hunt sometime!

Hey, Cap... My bro lives in Wichita, and I will be coming down that way on business in 2-3 weeks, likely. Like to drag him out and hunt one morning while I'm in town, but he's only worth a darn shooting pheasants, so love to find someone/somewhere pretty close to Derby/Rose Hill/Andover to try and hook up with for a morning hunt one day, mid november maybe...

Funny - My brother has a Springer - Lives in Derby/Rose Hill, really, but Derby address. He even tried to tell me got that thing to swim out on a pond and drag a duck in once, but I'm not sure I bought it. I will be in touch, I appreciate the offers. My business could be any time uin the next several weeks. THANKS! I gotta quit typing and get dressed... IT's opening DAY!

All right, if any of you "southerners" are available to entertain this JoCo Puddlejumper, looking like next Tues or Wed morning (or Tues afternoon hunt) will be my business in Wichita. I'd be staying in Rose Hill KS... PM me if you might be able to get out for a brief hunt. Probably don't have an all day hunt - do have business in Augusta, and then on in Wichita top attend to, but LOVE to squeeze something in if the situation is right.

Well, unfortunately Puddle I am working all week long from 4:30am-4:30pm so I guess I am outta luck. Looks like it should starting getting pretty good as the cold weather finally looks like it is pushing this way. Good luck if you make it out down this way. If you are ever down this way again let us know.

yeah, not much notice, tough timing... I get pretty spoiled being able to hunt during the week. And I don;t have a lot of time anyway, just always looking for a unique hunt in a new place. WebFoot - lemme know if you have a chance, and if not, I can be a little more flexible with my client... (trying to put the ducks first... )
