Well this time off we were able to get the frames put in and dress the blinds up with some rosos.. now its just the wait game till nov.. here are a few pics of the set ups. We only hunt out pirogues on my lease so we went this route for low profile..this yr our marsh grass is really looking good and tall.and no storms was a big plus for me in south Louisiana. All 3 blinds were made to hunt 3 ppl.

Those blinds look awesome!

We use wooden frames and the concrete wire mesh with the 6"x6" holes and weave needle grass in it. Im hopefully going to go to our lease in a week or two to try and transplant some local vegetation around the backside of our blind. The way we have it set up the front and sides are getting grown in nicely but the backside is kinda plain. Hopefully if I transplant soon it will take root before it goes dormant and dies.

I like the way you closed in the tops and have been thinking of doing something similar to ours. Our blinds are 3'x8'.

Thanks.

We used the chicken wire before but the salt water makes it rust quick. For the roof we put a piece of trawl net and make the holes so the rosos r grass dont fall in blind. When we only hunt 2 ppl the middle hole gets closed.

Good luck on rhe transplanting hope it works out for you. Thats about the same size as mine..

The wire that we use is made of 1/8" steel and we are in a fresh water marsh so it tends to last about 5 years or so. I will take pics whenever we get back out there to dress them up and post them up in here. I think this weekend we are going to clean out some of our runs with the trenasse digger. Ill try to get some pictures of that too!
