I hunt public land down by Arkabutla, but, I am open to ANY ideas ... thought it would be cool ta have a get togather....Maybe a tailgate lunch after a morning hunt on a Friday or Saterday... My spot could probably hide 5 or 6 guys if we brushed up a bit

Let's start doing more than saying we are in. Let's start talking about the where, then we can move on into the when. Are we talking about public land or private land. Public we have several options up here. There is O'keefe WMA over in Lambert, there is Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge outside of Holcomb which a $15 permit is required. Both are large enough so that we can break off into small groups and spread out not being on top of everyone. There is also Malmaison, but I am not familiar enough to guide us into there, it is a big place.
Another thought is if anyone has a lease and is willing to use it.

im down with hunting near oxford, i have a few friends that go to school there and they hunt a bunch of different places so they would also be of some help as far as when the ducks are around so count me in. or any where for that matter i have hunted everywhere from tunica county to of course the greatest waterfowling destination in the world the Coast. yea right, and i know of a few spots in between.

O'keefe or the Tallahatchie federal refuge will work. Both have plenty of room where we can spread out and not be on top of one another. But, let's wait and see how the migration goes and which place is getting ducks. Sometime mid to late December would be good I would think.

New Years Day at either O'Keefe WMA or Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge.
Plenty of ducks should be in the area at that time. O'Keefe you will need a state WMA permit and at Tallahatchie you will need a federal permit that you get through their office in Greneda.

There is enough room at both places that we can all spread out. Tallahatchie walk in only. You cannot even have an ATV in the back of your vehicle. You can enter two hours before sunrise. At O'Keefe, you can take an ATV in only on the trails, which are gravel roads. Then you park and hike into each individual field.
Tallhatchie is flooded wild millet and at O'keefe there is both cut rice fields that are flooded and also Millet fields that are flooded. Both typically make for good saturday shoots once the birds are here, then like everywhere else, the birds are flyin high on Sunday.

well y dont we look into doing something during the xmas hollidays so we arent out there just on the weekends with all the skybusters depending on how much vacation everyone gets for the holidays and we also need to look into a place to stay that is relatively close to where we hunt
