Hi everyone, I usually don't complain about lodges but wanted to let my fellow Missourians know where to give a second thought about going to in Kansas. I had booked a hunt with Rader lodge in Kansas to upland hunt, I actually sent in a deposit of half down for myself for a hunt in January . Well due to some people not being able to go plus I hurt my knee and wasn't sure what was going to happen that it might be just be me and a buddy coming out there I called Rader lodge which is owned by Jeff Rader early December , told him what was up, was flat out told that him didn't want to have just 2 guys hunting, then was told he would send my deposit back.
I have not been able to get ahold of him by phone , did get several e-mails backs, with messages like forgot to send it out, out of town right now, mailed it out so must have got lost in mail, stuff like that. I saved all my e-mails from him just in case. Still no refund and been over 9 months, and cant get no response back. Well may not get my money back but will at least let everyone know to think twice about booking a hunt with this lodge, if he will do business this way, what does he do when you show up.

I hunted Radar Lodge about 6 years ago and your comments seem about right for Jeff. The stories I can tell... like him forgetting that my group of 12 guys were coming and not having any room or food for us. All I can say is that there are plenty of better lodges in KS and with much more professional people to work with.

Thanks for posting, so maybe another person will not have to go through what you did.

I am glad, well maybe not glad I guess but at least like knowing I am not the only one to be screwed over by him. I hate the idea he didn't work but made $350 non the less. Hopefully more will read this post and heed our warnings.
