Im from texas but my brother-in-law and sister live in springfield i was wondering if there was any public hunting land in that area? I was also wondering how much a 3 or 1 day hunting licence is any help would be appreciated
Look up the Missouri Conservation dept on line. They have maps of public lands all over the state and they will have prices for tags and such. The phone numbers to talk to an actuall person is on the site as well. Good luck with the hunting and travel safe. :salude:
Stockton Lake and the Rivers that feed it, the Little Sac and Turnback Creek , are excellent duck hunting spots, esp. when it freezes.
Where Hwy 160 crosses Turnback Creek/Stockton Lake is a great spot, esp. when it floods. There is usually flooded corn on the west side south of the bridge within a few hundred yards and can be walked to. There is amazing flooded timber if you hit just wright.
You won't find this info on the MO Cons. homepage but they do have all of their public lands listed as well.
