I've been fortunate to hit four season openers over this period and have had a lot of fun and some really good shoots. I've managed to eeeeeeek out 41 ducks 15 Canadas and all over water and all retrieved by an 9 month old CBR pup.
This morning shoot was a real kick. Took a novice out this morning for the south opener and let him just get totally turned around as the duck came in from all directions. But he managed to get a limit and almost 2 boxes of shells fired. The pup was totally confused on what the hell was going on.
Now I need to go make a living for a few days and then start chasing Pheasnats, or ditch chickens as somebody called them.
Should be a good winter. Maybe we might even get a hard freeze this winter.
CBR's, the only way to fly.
