Yesterday we were dumped on, well over a foot of snow within a few hours. At times it was near whiteout conditions. Our town had all kinds of stuff going on, drawing people in from all over. I knew it could get crazy in a hurry; we were ready, so I thought. My partner and I were out plowing a back road when one of those little fast and furious cars came over a hill and caught us just heading into a narrow bridge head-on. He was going way to fast for the conditions. All I could say was "This isn't going to be pretty, this isn't going to be pretty" I was bracing for impact and at the last moment he turned and just missed us and somehow squeak by us. I was looking back to see if he pulled over to clean out his pants. Later on we just wrapped a corner and was waiting to back out onto the State road. There were three trucks coming down on us, two stopped to let us out and the third passed the first two and turned into us. I have no idea what he was thinking. To keep from hitting us he smashed into the snow bank and ran through it around our wing. My partner new who that guy was and called him. Telling him if he pulled that stunt again the Troopers would be called. Hey I can understand wanting to get out and rip it up, but find a DD. People think just because we're in a big plow truck we can see perfectly, trust me there are times that we would love to get called off the roads. People don't realize that how they see the roads, is the same way we see the roads. I'm tired it's been a long weekend we plowed for thirteen hours yesterday, today was better, and it still started at 3:00 AM.
