I'm planning a little camping trip down this way. I've heard when the waters there that these places can be a gold mine. Anyone have any experience with these places?

The mud puddles on the left side of the far west parking lot are great for green heads. I generally hunt the one that is about 3ft in diameter and surround it with every goose decoy you got.

That being said, any place can be a gold mine for ducks if you have the right factors in play.

I have never been there but always wanted to give it a try. Just too far for me from out west.

You will have no problem finding fish from what I have seen in articles. The only thing to warn you about is you have to have an access permit before you go onto the property. They are fairly cheap but the ticket you could get for not having it will not be. Also, that place has bears. So keep your food out of your tent and in a tree away from your camp.

I hope you have a good time and welcome to the state. Catch a bunch.
