Yep... Ducks LIKE IT WELL ENOUGH ... as they like a LOT of other things also! Thing is with all the water levels way up over most of the state there will be no exposed mud on smaller ponds and 'Sheds ...on which to get a stand up. That and when you THINK you planted a BIG PLOT come to find out when the ducks show up THEY WILL STRIP IT CLEAN IN BUT A FEW DAYS ... so ... if you get a spot planted and ducks get into it ... SHOOT'EM RIGHT THEN ... don't wait till later as they'll have it all et up but quick!

I would much rather have a pond full of smart weed and various mosses than a big millet plot. Dem ducks won't walk out of the water too far to get to a big patch of millet ... it's damn near gotta be right at the edge or be a bit flooded IN THE WATER with the head stick'n out above the water line. IF you can plant a big spot ... maybe say five plus acres and the CONTROL THE WATER as it grows ...leaving it flooded up onto the stalk ... NOW YOU GOT SOMETH'N!

Good Luck!

Urban, how have you been. This is the old busman.

I have completed a 2 year dream, 4 acres of millet up about 2 inches well is drilled and waiting. Should
be 4 acres 18"--20" deep right off the S. Canadian river. If we start whacking em I'll track you down we'll
give it a whirl this winter.
