Hopefully out of all of us, someone will get into some teal today! Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable hunt. O and don't forget the bug spray!

Yeah....that would have been helpful for me, and especially the other person I was hunting with. :lol3:
The only skin exposed was my hands and part of my face, and my hands were getting eat up.

The hunt itself went better than expected, we got into some decent sized flocks. Saw a huge flock of 50 or more in the distance.
Almost got some residents to come in....had their wings cupped but didn't go all the way.
Won't be able to go next weekend due to blind drawing and carry permit class, but maybe I will be able to sneak a couple more hunts in before the last weekend.

We had one fair sized dart buzz us. WDU off in the far distance shooting well/. Normally have zero problem getting birds at the spot we hunted IF birds are around. Still can't believe the WDU shot so much but NONE trickled down to us?

Probably will try for dove tomorrow???

My prayer has been answered...no work tomorrow! Which means I will be at it again in the morning.
Made some adjustments to my gear/amount I'm bringing, just about got everything ready to go again.
Hopefully there will be teal, and hopefully the thunderstorms will be finished by the time I launch.

Warmer temps = lower #s, lower bird movement this morning. Been having to launch a mile farther than regular duck season due to COE campground gates closed, had to go even slower today since I was alone. Lake level also went up again, no dry land except on the main shorelines....pain in the butt. That's what I get for complaining about not having enough water.
Anyway I had 2 flocks over the decoys, 3 stayed with me. Knocked down 4 total but could not find one. The first flock was a group of about 50 a couple minutes after LST, barely got my gun unsheathed, loaded, got off a couple shots before they were out of range. They had already buzzed me twice so I didn't wanna risk waiting again.
This might have been my 2nd to last hunt, won't be able to go again until next week or the last weekend.
Need another front to bring more down.

I won't be able to go till Friday but the good thing is a front is supposed to push through Thursday... I don't know if that will turn out to be a good thing or a bad thing. I know it "should" bring new birds, but it may push the ones out that arrived this week (that is if any did arrive).
