I do some hunting on the Columbia River near Hermiston. The rest I do on local rivers over here. Crooked River, Deschutes River and some of the lakes here. I have a couple places no one has figured out yet. Hope its still that way. I am going to be doing most of my hunting the first couple months since I have a baby due in December. I will get most of it out of my system by then. Do you have a hunting pooch that goes with you? I mean the 4 legged kind ;-)

I just joined the site and am also from Oregon. I hunt all over...from the coast to the columbia to the W. Valley to eastern Oregon to Summer lake and klamath lake. Look forward to talking waterfowl hunting with you guys this year. Let me know if you are headed somewhere unfamiliar and I may have some tips. I hunted over 50 days last year and hope to repeat this year.

I'm droolin' cause it's only weeks away...September goose.

By the way jmike..I'm the guy who ended up buying your floaters for one of my buddies.

Later guys.

I just discovered this site and thought I'd sign up. I live in Clackamas and typically hunt around Boardman. I was considering joining a club close to Portland this year so that I can hunt before work  .....Anyone know of one that's decent. I don't like hunting around a bunch of uptights.....or crowds.

I run one club south of Portland but it is full this year. I am working with a large landowner on the possibility of creating a new one next year, which I of course would manage. So keep in touch and hopefully I can find something that works for you.

What type of club are you interested. Be specific about everything...how would you run it If it was up to you? How many guys? What type of blinds? Are you looking for the comforst of home for your hunt or are you willing to get down in the mud...etc. let me know. Thanks. Jon

As you can probably tell, I'm Mike and I live in Portland. I just found this site a week or so ago and am looking forward to hearing about other duck hunters' successes, trading information on bird numbers and hot spots, and just chatting with other duck hunters.

The night before the season opener is like the night before Christmas for me! I haven't decided if I'm going to drive to Summer Lake tonight, or skip the morning hunt and drive down in the morning. The rain in Portland has got me all pumped up with excitement!

Good luck to everyone this weekend.
