I've started this new thread to provide an accurate title for the event taking place. It will be up to the Mods if they wish to merger this thread and Imaducklin up north's thread: For the newbies and the Oldies. Or what ever they wish.

Enclosed below is the details provided on the website hosting the information about the second waterfowling workshop.

I believe it is a good thing to provide the public educational opportunities. Both the Annual Virginia Waterfowling Workshop viewtopic.php?f=61&t=229985 and the VA Outdoors Duck & Goose Hunting Strategies Workshop http://magazine.va-outdoors.com/va-outd ... -workshop/ are offering options of education opportunities.

I look forward to attending both of these workshops.

A Thanks goes to Imaducklin up north for posting the second workshop!! :clapping: :clapping:

The Annual Virginia Waterfowling Workshop offers 18 class options - 19 hours of educational - 4 mini classes each night - 6 meals and lodging for $130

It looks like the VA Outdoors Duck & Goose Hunting Strategies Workshop offers 6 class options - 4 hours of educational - 1 meal for $70.

The way I see the general public can benefit from attending any or both of these events.

I must ask, who on here will be attending the Annual Virginia Waterfowling Workshop and/or the VA Outdoors Duck & Goose Hunting Strategies Workshop?

VA Outdoors Duck & Goose Hunting Strategies

Instructor: Teddy Carr - Outdoor Action Guide Service & Grit Pack Waterfowl Calls
Dates: October 19th 2013 - 9 AM to 1:00 PM
Location: TBD
Cost: $70 Includes Lunch
In this workshop participants will work hands on with Teddy and his guys to learn the following:
• Decoy patterns for early season versus late season
• Decoy patterns for duck versus geese, weather patterns and conditions
• Wing shooting techniques
• Waterfowl blinds and concealment
• duck and goose calling - early season versus late season - when to be aggressive when to ease off
• Gear, guns and ammo choices
This workshop will be roughly 4 hours with plenty of time for questions and answers with Teddy and his guides. Participants should plan to bring a duck call, goose call and notebook for the workshop - waterfowl calls are not a must have but will be beneficial.
