I have to do a 15 page paper for my new vision ag. and environmental science class. I am a senior at high school and def. wanted to do something i would enjoy writing a 15 page paper about so i thought for a second.... and waterfowl related of course but their is a lot of topics out there like maybe the avian flu or waterfowl habitat deterioration or something idk but if you guys could give me some ideas i would appreciate it big time. It obviously has to be science related and has to be involved with the government in some way or form. Thanks guys

Im a High school social studies teacher now, but when I was in college about 3 years ago I was in an oral comm class and we had to pick an issue to do a 5 minute speech on. I chose the destruction of waterfowl habitat and groups that help right the problem, something like that. There is alot of information out there about stuff like that. Truly opened my eyes to alot of the problems we as hunters face. Also Im from IL and that was when we had the biggest douche in the world as a Gov. at that time. Lots of info out there on those types of subjects get after it its actually pretty fun.

since your class is about ag vision and eviro sci, I would look at something like no net wetlands loss. I believe that stated in the clean water act section 404, i do believe. but from that if a company wants to destroy a wetlands area they have to replace it somewhere in the u.s. . then tie that in with how the last couple of years u.s wetlands have been declining.

I just graduated from Concordia with a degree in Environmental Science so if you need anymore idea's i think i will be able to come up with something.

good to hear. and just a word of advice once you get the paper all done and graded, keep it. i have used mine numerous times already in college, it helps too that i am majoring in wildlife sciences, but all the work your putting into that paper will help you alot. good luck.

Careful with that advice: it is possible to plagiarize yourself! Most colleges will consider it plagiarism if you use the same paper (or parts of the same paper) for multiple assignments. Even just a paragraph or two of something you wrote for class 1 as a freshman and reuse in class 2 as a senior....plagiarism. Depending on the school, that could result in anything from flunking the assignment to being expelled from school. I failed a girl in one of my classes for plagiarism (not plagiarizing herself, but others), and i've seen people expelled for it.

Absolutely DO keep your paper! You'll put a lot of effort into any paper, and you should keep them. Any maybe reread it and use similar references for future papers. But, DO NOT think it's ok to use the same paper multiple times!!!
