Natural vs. Agriculture

I've noticed a lot of people here really like to plant milo, millet, soy, etc....and I was just wondering if yall knew something I didn't. I'm trying to jazz up some farm ponds back home by introducing smartweed and buttonbush to create some waterfowl habitat. It's free and I know they'll grow fine in the area because I'm just cultivating seeds from plants that already occur on the acreage, then transplanting them. I also marked out an acre where I'm going to reintroduce big bluestem (it's tallgrass prairie/crosstimbers right now) and burn every three years....I'm curious to see if the big bluestem can thrive on depleted land (cotton farm in 20s) that has been overrun by broomsedge bluestem.

So...are introduced foods better at drawing ducks in your opinion?
