Hello, my name is Richard. I'm new to South Carolina and trying to do some hunting this year. I'm stationed near Charleston but don't mind a reasonable drive for hunting. I've been scouting most of my limited free time but without luck. I'm more set up for field hunting because my space is limited for storing decoys. Hoping I can be pointed in the right direction where I will be able to find some geese and farmers happy to get them off their fields, also wondering how landowners react to hunters. In Minnesota I'd drive right up, knock on the door and ask permission. Any help in to where to start looking will be greatly appreciated, I don't want a secret spot or anything like that, just somewhere where I can find a few

Look into hunting the Naval Weapons Station in Goose Creek. I knocked out my limit on ducks there every weekend last year. I saw a few geese fly over early into duck season as well. Good luck
