I saw in a previous post (from 2009) that anyone born after 1971 is required to show proof of their Hunter's Safety Certificate. This will be my fourth consecutive fall trip to Sask for waterfowl hunting. I've never had to have this. Has anybody ever been asked to supply it?

Deer hunted in sask for a dozen or so years, on first few trips when I was 14-16 years old (born in '89) they would ask but towards the end, not so much. That was on an Indian reserve though so honestly they're making their own rules anyway. I'm pretty sure they do have a provincial law that requires it just not sure when the cut off was.

My son was asked that when ordering a licence by phone and he had the hunter safety course when he was 14.
I have taken the course in 1986 but have not been asked over the phone nor have I been stopped by a CO and was required to produce it. It is a good idea to carry it with if you have one.
