I have some teal and mallards in my freezer, theyve been there since october and are not vacuum sealed and have never had them that long, does anyone know how long theyll last?
if double wrapped tightly in freezer paper with no bones poking thru they should be good for at least a year. i put my "packs" in gallon sized freezer ziplocks also and have never had any birds get freezer burn. you want to get as much air out as possible when you wrap your birds.
invest in a vac u seal. you can keep meats for many times longer than just a freezer bag. or eat as you shoot. I keep my jerkier going all season.
