Since it is dove season I was wondering what and if anything do people soak there dove meat in before cooking it? I have used salt water before but was recently told to use milk. Anyone else had experience with this?
We just wrap the breast with bacon and throw on the grill...simple, quick and delicious! If we are cooking a pig or chickens we may drop them in a vinegar based, eastern NC style BBQ sauce for a minute or so before cooking but dove is not that gamey tasting and does not need much marinating to make them good.
I usually soak mine in water. gets all that blood out of them.
