I have a 2013 Silverado that need floor mats. Looking at Weather Tech and Husky, individual mats for the front and over the hump in the rear. About 30.00 price difference between the brands. What does everyone recommend..........
weather techs hands down. ALL of the Husky mats I've seen the edges curl up and fold over. The weather techs also have a little bit better fit as well, with the better construction.
I rarely agree with ^ that guy, but this time I do. I've had several sets of both and the weathertech out last, fit better, and give more coverage than the huskies.
I will say that I've never used the WeatherTech brand, but I've had Husky Liners in every truck since 2000 and I keep buying them every time I get a new truck. They've worked well for me, and I've never had any problems with them. I'm sure the other brands are fine also, and the key thing is, put a set of SOMETHING in your truck to keep it nice. The mats will pay for themselves in resale value and even savings having the carpets cleaned. I have no problems recommending Husky Liners; my current truck is an 07.5 (NBS) Silverado 2500HD crew
I've also had husky liners in all my trucks and they work well for me. They have deep edges around the perimeter that holds water etc very well. The edges will not fold or curl over if you step into your truck and not on the sill plate
I've had both. I currently have weather techs in a silverado and I can promise you I will never own anything other than weather tech. The quality is far superior to husky without a doubt. No experience with the trail gear but it kinda looks to me like a re-labled weather tech.
weather tech i have them in my 2500HD sierra, person who said cabelas trail gear those are made by weather tech and are the same exact prduct but have the cabelas decal on them
Talk about timing... I have been trying to decide between these two for the F-150 I just bought. I was leaning towards weather tech. The truck came with rubber floor mats so I thankfully didn't have to run out and buy anything right away.
Thanks for the inputs. I think this concreted my thought of going weather tech.
I have WT's in my F150. The rear is great coverage but it gets pushed back by the seat in the far back position. The fronts don't fit that great, the cupped a bit on day one and now it has become a frustrating trip hazard every time you enter the truck.
I wasnt gonna spend $200 bucks on floor mats, but the old lady got me some for my 2012 Dodge 1500 4dr 4x4 hemi a couple years ago (Bday or fathers day or something) and I like them. I had heard the WT get slippery, but I havent noticed any problems. I like my WTs and havent tried the Huskies.
I haven't noticed my WTs being slippery even when they're wet, but an old coworker told me his wife thought they'd look nice with a coat of Armorall on them and that made them slicker than snot.
