I checked this forum this morning to find the two postings below. I hope they are removed by the time any of you read them. One is about pharmacy and the other is about sex. I checked a couple of other forums and did not see anything similar. I thought it was interesting that the person who posted them did it on the one that dealt with faith.
I Peter 5:7-9
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings."
This verse tells us to be alert. Everyday our Christian values are under attack. Some overtly and some discretely. Ephesians 6:16 says "In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
Where does faith come from. Romans 10:16-18 tells us faith comes from hearing the words of Christ:
"But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?" Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:
"Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.""
