" Then sings my soul. My Saviour, God, to Thee. How great thou Art. How great thou Art. Then sings my soul. My Saviour, God, to Thee. How great thou Art. How great thou Art. "

Romans 8:1-4

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit
.

No condemnation when we are in union with Christ. Does that not give you peace today. But, Paul writes that we are not to walk after the flesh but after the spirit. That is hard most days for us of the flesh. We must have and present a believers walk.

A little side note for the King James version. Many other versions leave out " who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Kinda important part of the verse I think. That who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Future Word of the Day.......

I will take us back to Romans 7:23, " But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of the mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." It was almost like Paul did not finish his point until verse 2 of Chapter 8. For the law of sin refers to that in man which is sold under sin. It is the law of sin and death in 8:2. Apart from the indwelling Holy Spirit, the law of sin would dominate in Paul's and our lives.

The law is an expression of GOD's righteousness and is intrinsically good. Sin, not the law, produces death. The law show us how helpless we are under the weight of our sin and truly points us to Christ, the only One who can help us..

Paul says the law was weak. There is nothing really wrong with the law, but the presence of our sin renders us the believer powerless to do what the law demands. However, GOD sent His only son as man. Even though He had a fleshly body, Christ was not a sinner.

By accepting Christ as our personal Saviour, thought His death and life, we will rise to walk a new life, with a new spirit and not under the power of our flesh.

" There's a peace I've come to know. Though my heart and flesh may fail. There's an anchor for my soul, I can say, it is well. "
