Word of the Day, June 13, 2014

" You save, You heal, restore, reveal, Your Father's heart to us. You rose to raise us from the grave. Your Spirit lives in us. Sing it out. To let all the world know that Jesus saves. Raise a shout. To let all the world know that Jesus saves. "

Hebrews 5:12-14

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Have you decide to make the next step of your Christian walk? Someone taught you and now it is time for you to teach someone else about GOD's Word. We need not be immature believers. We need to grow in our faith and walk with Christ. We need not to be ignorance of the Word. How do we teach if we do not know the subject material?

In order for us to grow from infant Christian to a mature Christian, we must learn discernment. We must train our consciences, our mind, our body and our senses to distinguish good from bad. We need to know the recognized temptation and make sure it does not turn to sin.

We need to be in the Word, reading, studying and understanding GOD's words to us. Can we tell the difference between a true meaning of a verse and a mistaken view of what we are reading or hearing from someone else?

Do you desire for milk or strong meat? We want GOD's banquet before we can spiritually capable of digesting it. We must learn and apply His Word so that we can move from milk to meat.

I was studying Hebrews the other day and read this in my Bible and thought this is so true and wanted to share with you. One way to evaluate our Christian maturity or spiritual maturity is by our actions and choices that we make. Here are some things to look at to help you move forward.

Mature Choices or Immature Choices

Teaching Others or Just being taught

To develop depth in our understanding or to struggle with the basics

Some self-evaluation or Self criticism

Seeking unity or Sowing discord

Desiring spiritual challenges or Desire to be entertained

Careful study and observation or Opinions and half hearted efforts

Active faith or Cautious apathy and doubt

Confidence or Fear

Feelings and experience evaluated in the light of of GOD's Word or experiences evaluated according to feelings

A commitment to Christ moves us out of our comfort zone. It is hard at first to share GOD and share our testimony to strangers. Faith, prayers and studying the WORD of GOD changes all of this. You have a desire to share what Christ has done for you and will be able to show people the Word of GOD. GOD wrote this book to be shared and not to collect dust on the coffee table for show. Show people that you know the Word of GOD. Get into HIs book today.

Look what GOD has done with me by my willingness to finally choose to study His Word. I have through GOD decide to make mature choices for Him. Those that know me know that I would have never had written a Word of the Day in the past. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD!

Share with someone your faith and let all the world know that Jesus saves. Shout it out today. Get to a good Bible church Sunday and make that decision that you will start studying the Word of GOD and teach the love of Christ to your world. Have a great weekend!
