Arkansas rice&bean field huntin

What works best for y'all in Arkansas (or any where rice and bean) field huntin out of pits! Last year was our first in Arkansas in a pit and we done pretty good last year but hoping for better this year!

rice and bean fields? Sounds like a lot of mexican flavored ducks. :thumbsup: fill your pit with salsa or red sauce and you will be good.

I'd prefer rice if I can have it, rolled and some stubble left. Although we have killed a lot of ducks when beans have been planted, just harder to hide and not really much of a food source there. If the ducks want in the hole though it won't matter.

How many deks do y'all usually use and do you prefer a roll top or cattle pannels for the top

thats what my club hunts on. i always choose going to a rice field pit if possible i usually see better results but ive killed ducks in both.

Rice is much better for hunting and very much better for ducks. After soybeans are in water very long, they can be harmful for ducks to digest. Soybeans also lose 86% of their protein after being in water.

Need a referral for a guide/lodge/club for some timber hunting within 100 miles of Reelfoot lake. Want to go mid December, myself, a buddy, and a dog.
