I just use 6 BW teal and some mallard decoys. Most of the time they land by the mallards. Don't have a early teal season here so I don't ever target just teal. A lot of my teal shooting is pass shooting though.

I don't think it much matters what decoys or how many you use as long as there's a whirligig or two with them:
