Water hole in standing corn

Postby BenelliSN » Tue Oct 16, 2012 10:22 am

Hunting a water hole tonight for the first time that is in standing corn. I have seen birds in this spot when I scouted it last year but the corn was cut at that time. Just wondering if any of you guys have hunted in standing corn and if you have had success.

We have had some of the best hunting ever in flooded standing corn. Just don't shoot it in the evening if they roosting there.

I have seen quite a few fields over here in Lancaster county that have some decent water in them,
every evening that I come home from work thier are always mallards in them while the water is still there.
However the crops are cut .....
