Postby jstewart_1981 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 6:14 am

My buddies put a hurting on the ducks yesterday am. I think they ended up with 3 plus limits.

You may want to either edit that, take it down or clarify it. It sounds like a bit of a violation. Not a smart thing to do on a public forum.

I feel slightly sorry for a man who has never patterned his gun, who has no idea how far his chosen load will retain killing penetration. But I'm extremely sorry for the ducks he shoots at beyond the killing range of his gun and load - Bob Brister

Clarification for??

I didn't say me and my brother shot 26 green heads by ourselves today. Read into how you may, but no violations were committed. I say 3 limits as one person can legally shoot 6 ducks.

Don't see anything wrong with his post, being as he was referring to someone else. Plus, I do believe that he used the plural formal of "buddy".
Awwww man, I can't believe I did dat!

What part of "three PLUS limits" don't you guys understand? Yes, "buddies" is plural. But the English language is a funny thing. "Buddies" can just as easily mean TWO buddies! All I stated was that the POTENTIAL for a violation exists. Again, not really a smart thing to do on a public forum, especially when your name and location are posted. You're inviting trouble, in my opinion.

But, hey, do as you like. No skin off my nose. Just trying to save you some POTENTIAL headaches.

Wasn't trying to stir something up with yah there Frank. You're right to a degree. But, its like you said too, as highlighted above, just your opinion. I think if good Old Mr Greenjeans was feeling that "froggy", he would make the rest of his clothes "green" and "jump". If he's having that bad of a time trying to catch game violators out there, and has to come on a public forum to try and catch "potential" violators, I think our friend would need to turn in his badge.

If you gonna kill ducks around here you best have some private land. Or really enjoy seeing the ones your buddies kill.

Plenty of public land. Nobody wants to put the time in whenever you can just go to a farm pond.

There's one piece of public land within a reasonable driving range from me. And that's a swamp that gets shot out first week of the season. If you're referring to the river... Don't tell me I don't do my scouting... Image
