duck calls

Does anybody know of a way to make calls stop sticking? Is there something you can spray on the reeds or something.Any help is appreciated

i heard carwax works, i tried it once and POOP! but it might work for u.

I'll chime in as a Bagpiper...
We have four reeds to the intrument, and in the old days (actually like ten years ago) we used cane reeds for the drones. To open them up more, we would pluck out a hair or two and put them under the reed. that may help with a duck call, maybe a hair, or something really fine like that. I'll have to try it for myself. It should also lower the tone of the call.

I also have heard of the rain-x stuff working. I dont know about going so far as to shave your reeds though. I hunt with several guys that use RNT calls of $100.00 and up, and they usually end up sticking more than the lower end calls. Just make sure on those cold days you keep them inside your jacket to keep them from freezing up..
