call shopping

Postby harvey1b » Fri Dec 09, 2005 12:51 pm

I went out last weekend and my call froze on me all day. I was ready to throw it in the bushes or shoot it. I'm now shopping for a good call.

I've been looking at the RNT: Daisey Cutter, Original, and Short Barrel
and the Echo Open Water Acrylic.

I would rather not spend a ton of $$ but if that is what it takes to get a call that will work all day when it is 10* out, so be it. Any opinions?

Thanks,
Matt

there are other options to a freezing call. Frankly every call will freeze up when it is bitter cold unless you do a couple things to improve the odds of better performance. Grooves on the board, Rain X, and a Call Muff, just to name a few!

pete is right, frankly, every call will freeze/lock up there is not much to do about it. Even the $130+ will freeze
