Postby ourtlc40 » Thu Jan 05, 2006 2:54 pm

I got a Timber Wench. I like it, it has a lil different timbre than my other calls. Soft but lil raspy

I have used the origial wench (poly) before and found it is a very good dbl reed call. A good friend of mine uses the wood version, it seems it can be much softer sometimes and just a touch more ducky.

EW, goodnite DONT use those!!! While I HAVE heard some people able to make some duck like sounds out of them I just have to say their horrendous. My cousin has one and Ive critisized his calling before but he dont listen. Hes stubborn and keeps using it and it sounds horrible out there. The only GOOD thing is that its real quiet so its harder for him to scare the ducks off with it.

Try either the phat lady or yo sista. I use the phat lady to finish off the ducks with soft quacks. it is much better to produce a subtle quack than my daisy but can't get as loud. my friend played jingle bells on the yo sista and actually called in a duck. so its up to you. try and then complain.

I hate the Yo Sista and PHAT lady but the WENCHES ROCK!
The group ended up with 420 birds.
