I'm allergic to Hedge

Postby LIGHT12 » Tue Feb 07, 2006 10:09 am

I just bought a Hedge Winglock and within an hour of blowing it my tongue started to hurt and it was hard to breath. I took a Claritan reditab and it went away. So this morning I decided to see if it was indeed the call or something else and same thing but this time with in 15minutes.

I'm going to clean the barrel with Denatured alcohol and see if there isn't something on it then give it a try. I bought the call used so I'm hoping its something else. But I am alergic to weird things so its possible.

If I am allergic to it I'll have a hedge longneck for sale soon.

Sucks to be me this is what a Goose/Duck call should look like.

Have you ever woke up one day and said. Damn when does the season start.

That is not as strange as one might think. I work with a guy that has a very bad reaction to cocobola. His lips blister and swell as if he were burned. It is possible that it is the finish on the wood for you, but he has looked into it and it is definatly the wood. The doctor told him he would probably struggle with all the oily woods.
Bummer deal.

That sucks, as hege is my favorite wood for calls. I hope all is well, and the problem is solved.

That is a heck of a call, so if it is the call, give me a shout.
