Trim corners on new reeds when replacing?

Postby Remington1196 » Tue Nov 23, 2004 1:56 am

I was looking at the replacement reed and cork sets for the RNT and couldn't help notice that they come with the corners cut off that stick out "from the factory" but the replacments dont have this done.

Replacement reeds

Yep... You will have to taper the reeds yourself. I use an RnT myself! You can use your old reed as a template and get the same sound you had before. Just match up the edges of the new reed with the old and trim the corners.

Sounds good thanks. At $2.50 a 4 pack I guess I could experiment and keep the original for a template
