Both of those pictures are from Byers' collection. The houndstooth Mondo is pretty sweet.

I had wanted a black unpolished call since I saw a checkered C & S a few years ago. When I called to talk to buck about it he said he had done several calls just never a mondo. I believe he told me he had one it yours on his desk when I called.

Yeah he had a sharp looking speck call this year. So I had to have one. Too bad the cat's out of the bag now.

ahh yes....the el negro as i liked to call it....most everything on my string was flat this past season, or at least started that way until some stuff got switched around modified etc.

It's just caramel swirl. Told the shop I was going for the brass on mallard green look and they got a good piece for it.

Was on the phone with Butch the other day and asked about having a wood one made. He told me it could be done once they set up and start turning wood ones. Implied something along the lines of they're gonna release them soon on the website.

That would also imply that the setup would be different than how they acrylics are setup now. Which aside from the different machine is not really true. Some claim butch told them that a metal band could be put on any mondo. But hey, far be it from me to know what their plans are.
