Long distance call

Postby BonzaiDuck227 » Tue Jun 25, 2013 7:10 pm

Can't decide between the RNT MVP or the hobo prime meat. Any suggestions?

Get a metal reed. Those are the ultimate long distance calls!

Your "honest" promotional staff opinion... lol
If you can blow both of them and see which one you feel is better suited for your long distance uses.

Not at all...I used this call even before I staffed for them and have used it to win many calling contests and kill many a duck

For me, it fits me better than those two calls the OP listed

What's "long distance?" More than 200 yards?

I have owned both, prime meat does not have close to the volume that an MVP does, but they are two very different calls. If you wanted to compare it would be like prime meat, daisy cutter/short barrel. MVP is a great call, I don't hunt with one, because I get all the volume I need in a short barrel or lares t1.

I've not run the Hobo. But I got a MVP eight or nine seasons ago thinking it might be handy for high, wide or windy day birds and soon found myself using it most of the time, which is still the case.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Have both , like both . For distance and power, MVP. For finesse calling or if you need to soften your calling, Hobo. I can easily see bringing both to the blind. Like Shaun said, 2 very different calls.

I've never had a special call for long distance or for finishing. Just find one you like. Try not to over think it.
