Well boys to tell you the truth I only have one mallard call around my neck. It is a Flambeau double reed, It is ajustable so I made it sound deep. I like it, its a double reed. Well I have a 6-1 whistle call and a wood duck call (sometimes). Now for geese, I have my new meat grinder that i got this weekend, and a buck gardeners call which is about 6 years old I bought it when I was in the 4th grade. I also have a big river flute call that is a really deep call.

I just bought a Tim Grounds "Hen Talk" Last night. SWEET Sounding call. This will be the last duck call I buy until I switch to a single reed. I can do a great feeder call with this, and great greetings. Tim Grounds is the man!

Two highly modified, custom cut Olt "keyhole" style D2s. Probably not many guys around who have even seen an original, non-modified Olt D2 call around lately as the company has shut it's doors since '94. Very difficult call to master as they are like fingerprints...no two are ever the same, and a tremendous amount of air is required to blow them (and even more patience needed to cut on one and make it sound right). However, if you get one to fit your calling style...game over. This is 1950-1970's era technology/material with a twist.........."Old dawg, new tricks"

It depends on where I hunt. If it's open water I use a Kwack Wacker acrylic single reed and a Duckman bloodwood single reed. If I'm hunting small rivers or timber I use a Black Swamp Special acrylic stablized spalted maple burl with ebony insert single reed and a cocobola single reed Echo timber.
