DC Classic Commander (Cedar)
DC Pintail/Widgeon
Haydel's Blue Wing Teal
Haydel's Wood Duck Whine

The wood duck whine is the only effective wood duck call I have ever used. Make sure to muffle it with ur hand and torque up to make it really squeal. Without the hand to muffle it is too loud and sounds unnatural so this is critical. The ol' classic is a really ducky sounding call with the throaty sound of ol' susie, but it is a soft call and lacks the ability to walk the scale. The classic for what it does, up close work, is an excellent call. The pintail/widgeon is like any other whistle, it is only as good as u can make it be. I prefer the Haydel's teal over DC's teal because it is more screacher and just plain sounds more like the real thing. Plus its a heck of a lot easier to use.

my new lanyard...

it's gone through a few changes this summer, but this is what i am taking hunting for the opener this weekend.

Echo XLT
Echo Cocobola Timber

i may swap out the coco timber call for either my Rowdy/DOA double trouble acrylic, Echo Poly Timber Double Reed or the Hedge Winglock i have ordered. all 3 are double reeds and run some nice soft ducky sounds.

the XLT is certainly on the number one spot..that will a hard one to replace.
