Which Reed thickness for Different RNTs

Postby DesotoLakeHunter » Mon Sep 16, 2013 8:10 pm

Do the different model RNTs have different reeds(thickness, width?)? For example, which reeds go in a DC, a Short Barrel or a Original? I was looking at the RNT tuning kit and it seems it comes with diff reeds, so which reeds go in which calls? thanks for info

All RNT reeds are .010 to my knowledge except for the Quackstacker and the Mondo which both use .014 reeds.

That's how I got a 13" pecker.

What DH said is correct to the best of my knowledge. Some of the doubles may have a .007 top reed instead of (2) .010 reeds as well.

That kit has .007 ,.010,.014 reeds some dimpled some not from what I read for double reeds . The width should be all same maybe double reed calls have a diffrent width not sure . Only rnt I know of with a thicker reed is mondo with a .014 . I just put my own tunning kit together

For the double reeds, they use a .007 reed for the top reed
