Lares T1

Postby Bullfrog26692 » Sat Oct 26, 2013 6:47 pm

Just picked this call up used. Is it a small bore or regular? Also it came with one reed a 1.360 it seemed to take a little more air to run than I like. What reed length would benefit me? I know I can get a reed pack from the website so I'm just wondering which one I should try first. Should my next Lares be a hybrid or A5?

You'll have to post a picture of the bore...

That's how I got a 13" pecker.

Yes...we would need to see inside the bore. The T-1 comes stock with a 1.315 reed. I would say you would probably like the Hybrid reeds ranging from 1.335-1.350. The stock in the Hybrid is a 1.350. Your best bet...call Bret or Joe and they will hook you up. Both are extremely nice, are class acts, and ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need to have a call that will work. My favorite call from them is the T-1...right now I'm running the 1.375 reed in mine. Anything lower than a 1.360 is just too light for me.

The Hybrid has the same exact insert (does have a longer barrel) as the regular T-1 and honestly, there probably won't be a huge difference. The only minor thing would be that the T-1 is just a little squeakier than the Hybrid but as far as the top end, they are the same. The A-5 is the longest call as well as the loudest. It will flat out get with it however, it lacks the squeaky low end of the T-1.

Hope this helps you out some

And... :welcome: to Lares Land
