Buck Gardner Double Nasty II?

Postby duckslayer96 » Wed Nov 20, 2013 7:39 pm

I got my new double nasty in the mail yesterday and I've been practicing quite a bit. I'm fairly new to the art of calling but not duck hunting. As I understand it, the double nasty is a double reed call which means it doesn't have a wide range of sound. But how can I hit that high note in my calling? Do I just need practice? I can't quite get that sucky sound.

If you're talking about "ringing" a call... You will need a different call. Most single reeds, and some doubles, can reach that note.

Also... don't feel like you need to have that in your pocket. Unless you are thinking about entering contests. While there is a time and place for it in the field, it would be a better use of time working on cuts and quacks...

Hope this helps.
