How to get band back in proper place???

Postby Flogger » Fri Nov 22, 2013 5:18 pm

Just got a new call in mail and the band is about an eight of an inch out of place. It's not loose but rather stuck out of it's proper position. Obviously it doesn't effect performance but me being anal I'd like to get it positioned back in proper place. Would heating it up with a hair dryer be the thing to do or is there something else? I really don't want to send it off to echo if it can be fixed at home. Thanks for any tips or tricks you guys can give me.

I know you said you don't want to do this, but if I were in your position, I would send it back to the company as it should have come to you the way it is supposed to.

Just my opinion

I got it in a trade, It is slightly used. You are probably right though. I prolly should send it to the shop. I'm just so impatient and hate to have it gone for a couple weeks during the season.

Thanks for the reply Mayhem. Just curious though, are the bands glued on on acrylic calls?

I sent one back to get refit.
I'm a machinist and I am sure I can fit a band, BUT I'd rather just let the shop do it so I don't risk a demo to a nice call.
