Short barrel tuning question

Postby jellotree » Mon Nov 25, 2013 10:10 am

Anyone have a picture of what the dog ears are cut like on a factory tuned RNT Shortbarrel?

I'm trying to get as close to the way it would come from the shop for comparison. Seems like it sounds best with the reed dead center and fairly big cut ears.

This is a pic of 3 brand new short barrels. The problem that you will have is that the calls are still tuned by hand and each person will tune it differently.

Whoever tunes the calls for rnt nowa days is terrible. Guess thats what you get when you hire mexicans to make duck calls. Going downhill quick and people are figuring it out.
No contest ring. No gimmicks. No compromising. It’s just pure, raw, balls-to-the-wall, don’t tell your mother, most powerful, non-nuclear duck calling machine on the planet. This call may not be for everyone. But if you can drive it, Game over......
