Rnt mvp and diablo?

Postby mswings » Wed Dec 11, 2013 10:27 am

Would these 2 calls pair good together for all areas. I hunt a good mix on places here in the delta.

What color do y'all like in these calls also?

Thanks

im not a fan of the mvp but I love the diablo. I use it and a timberhawg and I doubt either leave my lanyard for awhile. I can get as loud I need to on the diablo, and pretty quiet on either call. far as colors I get bright calls, my timberhawg is orange acrylic and my diablo is ivory acrylic, ONLY reason I get bright colors is just in case a call happens to come off my lanyard its so much easier to see a bright call in the water versus black or any of the darker colors.

I'm the opposite of the above poster. Have no use for the Diablo but am a huge fan of the MVP, which I've run at least part of, and usually most if not all of, virtually every open season morning for the past 8 or 9 years. A number of others have come and gone, but that one's stuck. My second most used duck call the past few (4?) seasons has been a Microhen.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Get a Daisy Cutter and you can do it all. Black or Mallard Green nothing shines or rattles-----You are a duck hunter not a pimp.

Diablo, for me and I get calls with bright colors because:
1. Easier to see as I get older in low light shoots
2. Easier to locate when lost as noted above.

Try the calls that work for you. Duck calls are like shoes, you need to try them on before you buy!

Just stirring the pot. It's only weird if it doesn't work.

MVP can do everything the Diablo does and then some.

I currently pair an MVP with a hedge new old style and occasionally a mondo on a third loop.
