Watkins Duck Calls

Postby hfd7c » Sun Dec 15, 2013 3:56 pm

I until recently I've been a goose / diver hunter but have gotten access to hunt puddle ducks and am looking to pick up a call or 2. I am going with watkins calls (good rep/local business) and was looking for some first hand experience on them. Im interested in your opinions on which calls (if you picked 2) compliment each other in terms of tone and volume. You could even goes as far as "a wood swamp bore / acrylic w2. I am definitely looking for a call that can be used in the timber and then something that can get up a little louder. Feel free to share any other info you have.

My wife bought me a swamp bore and it's a good call just too right a bore for my style. I would say the hybrid swamp or original should be able to tackle it all. The swamp sounds great just too quiet for me.

The original is the loudest. Lots of top end and my favorite of Brian's calls.
