short barrel, or strait timber by Foiles for sure.. the daisy cutter & buck brush are bad little calls as well. the old style by RNT is a sweet little single reed for those trying to switch..

Foiles Strait Meat Mallard is the first one I grab every time. Timber Rattler takes a close second. I noticed a few posts about it and have to add my 2 cents. For the price, you can't beat a Strait Suzy. There is one on my lanyard that has been there for 3 years now and I don't see it leaving anytime soon.

Mine is now a Echo Meat Hanger, it just parked my Foiles Timber Rattler, RNT Short Barrel and Zink PH-2 on my shelf. I like all of the mentioned calls but the Meat Hanger is that good, I have to say well done to Echo on this one :clapping: My lanyard just got lighter. My lanyard now only has a Foiles Strait Meat Mallard tuned for high end, the Meat Hanger, and a Wing Setter.

As of yesterday mine is the Echo Meat Hanger. Easy to blow, and it sounds great.

The best duck calls for the price are the all acrylic series called the: (look at images on Cabelas.com to see what each call looks like)

Buck Gardner Spitfire Duck Call! 'spit tech'
This is the best call for the price and has any sound you need, and makes a great ringing sound too.

I can out call everyone i hunt with with my two green acrylic duck calls.

Black acrylic: $59.99

Green acrylic: $59.99

Cocobolo wood: $29.99

Anyone who wants a great acrylic call should look into these, because they are better quality than even the $100+ duck calls on the market. It has the sorta single reeds or the reed and a half as buck gardner calls it.

If you want to see his duck calls in action, and blown by himself search Buck Gardner on You Tube.

Great customer service at Buck Gardner calls.

More often than not, I find myself grabbing my GK Call Girl, although I'm very fond of my Mallard Killer as well.

Echo timber and RNT short barrel. It's tough to say between the two, one is quiet and one is loud.
